Wii Compute Channel.

What if you can use the same functions as a computer, but on the Wii. In this channel, you are capable of manage files, programs, and many more, on the Wii. I know it sounds farfetched but hear me out, you can have your own personal "work space" like manage music, text files, and many other programs you expect on the PC (except those programs that need computer like needs like microsoft office). You can play games that you download in some site like caiman.com or something. Reads from a SD card you can store these games or stuff on the Wii, I don't know how it will be possible to pull something like, but i just wanted to share this idea to you the people. i still need to some stuff together so that it makes more sense. Try to help me add more stuff to this channel idea.

I have always been a fan of keeping things seperate from each other. You have a console for gaming and a computer for computing.

It would be a pretty cool feature, but like everyone else has said it is probably make sense for the Wii to stick to gaming and not have unrelated features.

And something else as well: if this channel was made it would just scream "large external hard drive".

I've really got to agree with tasted donut. I mean, after the whole internet channel thing and its ability to not support flash, it'd just be best to keep the computing to the computer.
