Monopoly, for sure. I used to have the original, then later on I had Pokemon and now I have the CD Rom version.
The world version looks pretty snazzy, though the only Australian city they put in there is Sydney, which is the lamest city in the country. >=[ (Melbourne ftw!)

I agree with the topic started Risk is a very fun strategic game and so is monopoly! Both very fun games that i enjoy thurally.

I have to say a game that I have recently played, Vampire Hunter. It is actually innovative for a board game.

you play it in the dark. It has a lighthouse in the center of it that lights the board. You change from day to night by pushing a button on the lighthouse and everything in the game changes. and I mean EVERYTHING. Like at night the dice has lower numbers than the day. Some monsters are stronger at night, and traps and secret passages appear and disapear.
The object of the game is to make it to the vampire and destroy him before the ship arrives to take him away. To do this you must go around and find a sword, stake, and piece of garlic. You do this by going to different cards on the board and flipping them over. Most of the time though instead of a weapon, you get a monster instead that you must fight. Day and night change this alot too. Let's say you flip over a werewolf, if it turns to day, the werewolf will be a man instead. And yeah I gotta agree with Killman about it, mainly because it's my game, lol

me and my girlfriend used to play chess like every single night. Its prolly the most innovative game ever made, especially considering it was made like eons ago
