The Power of the Wii
This is a side by side look at what everyone is jumping onto Nintendo's lap naked over. The game is Klona and it was awesome.... 12 years ago. The left side is the Ps1 version, the right side the wii version.
Now, the Ps1 came out in 1994/95 and the wii came out in 2006. The wii is touted as being a next gen system, but we can clearly see the graphics upgrade from a system that ran on Cd's, had 24 mb of ram, and was bottle necked by serious hardware limitations in the CPU, still holds its own with the Wii that they want/expect you to pay 250 bucks + for.
Seems fair to me. I'll dig up more pics for you all.
The one on the left is the Wii version and the one on the right was the much acclaimed PSs2 version that launched september of 2002 exclusivly for the Ps2 "at the time"... Strange how Ps2 smokes the wii's ass in the visual department for being such a old system, huh?

Lol the way it looks to me as if the Wii is in essance a graphical upgrade for what the PS2 can handle currently XD So in essance the Wii is a PS2.1 [or something like that XD]

Yes, but the Wii will still have its advantage of the console being unique.

Unless sony decides to start thinking outside of the box.... and not create a PS4.

but we need more things in the system to match PS3 and Xbox 360

Agreed.
I know that Nintendo is trying to make an example with the Wii's power being as low as it is, but it really is behind the times for the part when it comes to raw power.

Well, the PS2 had better graphics than Gamecube, and Wii had 1.5 graphic power over Gamecube. If that's not enough to match PS2, so be it.
