It depends on what you mean by modding your Wii. There is the skins and LED mods which alter the appearance of your console/controllers
Or there is the modchip route.
One is obviously a lot easier than the other. Skins you can buy from Ebay, and tutorials for Controller mods can be found here http://www.wiimotemods.com/
But modchips are a lot more complicated. You will need to find out what kind of DVD chip you have, it has been changed by Nintendo a good few times to try and stop modchips. To do this you need to look at your Wii's serial number on the bottom of your Wii and then look at this chart http://wiinewz.com/forums/wii-mod...hip-using-wiis-serial-number.html to see if your compatible with first gen modchips or not. Once that is done, some research on what kind of chip you want is needed. There are many different types out there, and most need soldering directly to your DVD drive which is harder than it first seems as the points are really really small. If you have had no experience with soldering I wouldn't go any further as you are likely to brake your Wii by over heating something or damaging your Wii's insides.
I'm willing to take PM's if there are more questions, or put them in here. But I am not suggesting to get your Wii chipped.
