when i was playing metroid prime 3 i thought how great it would be to play the first 2 with the new wii controls. sure enough a few months later nintendo announces that metroid prime 1 and 2 (among a host of other gamecube titles will be re-released on wii as the new play control range offering nintendo newcomers a chance to experience some classic games which they may have missed when they were origonally released. the new play control range isnt just a repackaged gamecube games put out to make a swift buck. the games will be tweaked in some way with not only new controls added to incorporate the remote and nunchucks motion sensitive capabilities but also new gameplay elements as well.
the titles i know of are:
Pikmin(you will never look at a carrot in the same way again)
Metroid prime 1 and 2(samus it ever was? not quite)
Mario Power tennis(finally, a rival to wii sports tennis?)
Chibi-Robo(the little fella keeps plugging away)
Donkey Kong jungle beat(the king of the swingers returns)
Beyond good and evil
Viewtiful Joe
Super Mario sunshine
F-zero GX
Zelda: the wind waker
Paper mario the thousand year door
Luigis mansion
killer7
baten kaitos
Pikmin 2
Super Monkey Ball
also if you want more info on any title i will happily provide it

The other two I know of are Pikmin 2 and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (I think that's the right DK game).
But yeah, this will be pretty cool, even if it is a bit of a cheap shot by Nintendo just to rake in some easy money. Nonetheless, I can't wait to play Metroid Prime 1 and 2 with Wii remote controls. Epic to say the least.

I would like to play Paper mario again because super paper mario was not the same again...
I do wish that they add more content for me to play with

well-defined paper mario the thousand year door
the second paper mario outing is a classic, with the newly-svelte mario slipping through narrow gaps or flying through the air in paper plane form. the timing based combat could be lent some physical touch with some motion controlled attacks, but theres not much improvement otherwise
(this is not written out of the nintendo magazine > have just got info from there)

This seems like more of a money maker on Nintendo's part, but as Randomer has stated, it will still be quite nice to play some Gamecube classics with Wii controls.

Well, a couple of those titles I missed (Pikmin, FZero GX) and it's nearly impossible to find GC games these days, so I might pick up a couple.

I have seen a new advertisement at a gaming retailer and they are listing a few of the classics, Pikmin being one them.
