16 year old gets a new Nintendo DS, finds rocks in the box |
|
We've seen porn in PSP, we've seen ecstasy in GTA, and now it's the Nintendo DS' turn to hand out freebies from hell. Jodi Wykle from Lake Wales got a new DS for her 16-year-old son, who was all too happy to be getting a new handheld for his birthday. But instead of finding a shiny new DS in the box, the guy found a pile of rocks and a roll of Chinese newspaper.
Surprise, surprise. Just like the porn-infested PSP, the new DS was purchased from a Wal-Mart outlet. Wykle demanded a refund, but Wal-Mart would not comply since the DS had never been returned. Instead, Wykle was told to contact Nintendo. Since it was her son's birthday, she opted to go and buy another DS first, and demanded that the Wal-Mart staff open it in front of her before paying for it.
Wykle managed to contact Nintendo, whose national representatives gave her a refund for her first purchase, and was also given a US$ 20 gift card.

That is actually hilarious though very.......strange. Wal-Mart is really getting bad with these type of events and its even worse that they would not give the refund. Oh how strange the world has become.
Next up, bombs in a Wiimote.

Yes, This means if I go shopping in Wal-Mart for an Ipod, I better open the box and see if my Ipod is there. just before I leave the store. Wal-Mart need more security or some to check if what suppose to stay in the box, stays in the box.

Pity that it wasn't a Christmas present. And that the rocks were replaced with coal. Would have been a much better scenario.
